East of Sutton, the Gunsight Mountain Trail is a 5 mile route open to off-road motorcycle trails riding. This easy trail provides access to the Squaw Creek area.

To reach the trailhead from Sutton, head east on SR1 (Glenn Highway) for 55 miles. Look for Squaw Creek trail on the left.

Overall, Gunsight Mountain Trail is the 9th most popular dirt bike trail of all 20 dirt biking rides in Alaska. Several of the better dirt bike trails are nearby Gunsight Mountain Trail including Old Man Trail - Monument Trail, Knik River Trail, Bird Creek Valley Dirt Bike Trail, Bald Mountain Dirt Bike Trail, Belanger Pass Trail and Little Nilchina River Trail.
