Pinochle Creek Trail For Dirt Biking

East of Sutton, the Pinochle Creek Trail is a 16.5 mile route open to off-road motorcycle trails riding. Also known as Hicks Creek, the route follows the Hicks Creek to Hicks Lake. From there, it continues on to Caribou Creek. There is about 2,700 feet of elevation gain along the way.
To reach the trailhead from Sutton, head east on SR 1 (Glenn Highway) for 38 miles. The trail is on the north side of the road.
Overall, Pinochle Creek Trail is the 8th most popular dirt bike trail of all 20 dirt biking rides in Alaska. Several of the better dirt bike trails are nearby Pinochle Creek Trail including Old Man Trail - Monument Trail, Knik River Trail, Bird Creek Valley Dirt Bike Trail, Bald Mountain Dirt Bike Trail, Belanger Pass Trail and Little Nilchina River Trail.
