Alto Pit Riding Area For Dirt Biking

The 8th most popular offroad motorcycle trail in Arizona.

West of Prescott, the 400 acre Alto Pit Riding Area is a popular area to ride through ponderosa pine forest that is open to dirt biking. There is a 13-acre cross country area open to trail bikes, 8 miles of designated trails for trail bikes, and a beginners course for vehicles under 90cc.

The Alto Pit dirt bike trailhead is located 4 miles west of Prescott on Iron Springs Road. There should be signs for the trailhead and the parking area is on the right. There is a small user fee to use this area.

Overall, Alto Pit Riding Area is the 8th most popular dirt bike trail of all 46 dirt biking rides in Arizona.
