Barrett Lake For Dirt Biking

The 34th most popular offroad motorcycle trail in California.

West of South Lake Tahoe in the Eldorado National Forest, the 20 mile route to Barrett Lake is open to off-road motorcycle trails riding. This is a very challenging route with large rock obstacles and giant boulders.

To reach the trailhead from the intersection of SR 89 and US 50 in South Lake Tahoe, go south-west on SR 50 for 22 miles. Turn right on Wrights Lake Rd. and go 7.2 miles to Wrights Lake. Stay left and go past Dark Lake. The road ends in a turnaround with parking spots. There is a gate where the trail starts.

Overall, Barrett Lake is the 34th most popular dirt bike trail of all 120 dirt biking rides in California.
