Four Mile Road For Dirt Biking

West of Carbondale in the White River National Forest, the Four Mile Road (FS300) is a 19 mile route open to off-road motorcycle trails riding. The road passes through aspen and conifer groves and meadows.

Directions from Glenwood Springs: From Glenwood Springs follow the signs to Sunlight Ski Area. Before reaching the ski area turn right on to the gravel road which is FDR #300.

Note: Colorado residents must register their off-highway vehicle with the Colorado State Parks (303) 866-3437. Non-residents are not required to register in Colorado, if they are registered in their home states. All off-highway vehicles must have an approved muffler and spark arrester. These requirements are subject to change so make sure to contact the Colorado State Parks prior to using your off-highway vehicle.

Overall, Four Mile Road is the 47th most popular dirt bike trail of all 90 dirt biking rides in Colorado. Several of the better dirt bike trails are nearby Four Mile Road including Cedar Mountain ORV Area, Meadow Lake and Transfer Trail.
