Oakey Mountain ORV Trail For Dirt Biking
The 7th most popular offroad motorcycle trail in Georgia.

Southwest of Clayton in the Chattahoochee National Forest, the Oakey Mountain ATV Trail is a 6.2 mile dirt bike trail. This trail is near both Lake Burton and Lake Rabun. It is not a loop trail so traffic is two-way. Some sections are steep (35% grade) and rocky. There are also many blind curves on the trail. Under age riders, who do not have a State drivers license should be accompanied by a legally licensed driver.
To reach the North Parking Lot for dirt biking the Oakey Mountain ATV Trail from Clayton, go west on Hwy. 76 for 6.8 miles. Turn left on Charlie Mountain Road until it deadends. Turn right on the Bridge Creek Road for 2 miles until it deadends at Lake Burton Dam Road. Turn right for 1.6 miles to entrance road on left.
SOUTH PARKING LOT: From Clayton, go west on Hwy. 76 for 6.8 miles and turn left on Charlie Mountain Road until it deadends. Turn right on the Bridge Creek Road for 2 miles until it deadends at Lake Burton Dam Road. Turn left for 4.4 miles to the Flat Creek Road, turn right for 2.1 miles until the pavement ends. Continue on the gravel road for .8 miles to the entrance road on the right.
Note: there is a new spur trail called Moates Knob 3.3 miles.
Overall, Oakey Mountain ORV Trail is the 7th most popular dirt bike trail of all 25 dirt biking rides in Georgia.
