Nez Perce National Historic Trail For Dirt Biking

Southeast of Salmon and northeast of Leadore in the Salmon-Challis National Forest, there is a nice 10 mile section of the Nez Perce National Historic Trail (#6244) that is open to dirt biking. The open section is from Bannock Pass to the mouth of Canyon Creek Canyon parallel to SR29.

Overall, Nez Perce National Historic Trail is the 26th most popular dirt bike trail of all 52 dirt biking rides in Idaho. Several of the better dirt bike trails are nearby Nez Perce National Historic Trail including Bear Valley Lakes Trail, Upper Harden Creek / Coal Creek Trail, Winnemucca Creek ORV Trail, Big Eightmile Trail, East Fork Hayden Creek Trail and Hayden Creek Trail.
