East of Darby and northeast of Sula in the Bitterroot National Forest, the Chain Of Lakes Trail (#39) is a 6.5 mile route from FS726 to FS313. The route passes through high alpine meadows, subalpine larch stands and rugged rocky terrain.

To reach the dirt biking trailhead from Sula, head northeast on East Fork Road for roughly 19 miles. Its only a few miles past the NFS Martin Creek Campground.

Overall, Chain Of Lakes Trail is the 8th most popular dirt bike trail of all 30 dirt biking rides in Montana.
