Bitter Springs Trail For Dirt Biking

Northeast of Las Vegas near Logandale, the Bitter Springs Backcountry Byway is a 28 mile route open to off-road motorcycle trails riding. The byway begins at the Valley of Fire State Park and runs south along the foothills of the Muddy Mountains. It passes through several dry washes and past abandoned mining operations. It ends on North Shore Drive in Lake Mead NRA.

To reach the trail, proceed North from Las Vegas on Interstate 15 to the Valley of Fire exit (Exit #75), turn south (right) toward the State Park. Go past the Moapa Indian Reservation store. About three miles later, the paved road bends left, but follow the trail straight, to the mountains. A BLM sign lets you know you that you have reached the Bitter Springs Back-country Byway.

Overall, Bitter Springs Trail is the 1st most popular dirt bike trail of all 29 dirt biking rides in Nevada. Several of the better dirt bike trails are nearby Bitter Springs Trail including Moapa Valley OHV Park, Logandale Trail System, Crescent Dunes Open Riding Area, Mesquite Motocross Park, Sandy Valley Motocrosss and Amargosa Big Dune.
