Sugar River Trail For Dirt Biking

Between Claremont and Newport, the Sugar River Trail is an 8 mile multi-purpose trail open to mountain bikers and off-road motorcycle riders. The trail is on an old railroad grade and has a packed dirt surface.

Eastern Terminus parking is located next to the Newport Recreation Department. From the center of Newport, head 0.25 miles north on SR10 and turn left onto Belknap Avenue. Parking is located 0.1 miles from this turn.

Western Terminus parking is located east of Claremont on SR11/103.

Overall, Sugar River Trail is the 14th most popular dirt bike trail of all 18 dirt biking rides in New Hampshire.
