North Chemung For Dirt Biking

East of Corning and Elmira in Chemung County, the North Chemung area has 12 miles of off-road motorcycle trails over 200 acres. The routes are for beginners and intermediates through wooded terrain.
NOTE: The trails on this private property is maintained by the NYTRO Southern Tier Chapter. Club membership and a club land use sticker is required to ride these trail. More information can be found at: http://www.nytrostier.org
To reach the trailhead from Elmira, head east on Jerusalem Hill Road (CR1) for 3.1 miles. Turn left on Breesport-North Chemung Road (also CR1) for 4.4 miles. Turn right on Little Road for 0.5 miles. Turn left on Barlett Road. The trailhead is near 332 Barlett Road.
Overall, North Chemung is the 12th most popular dirt bike trail of all 30 dirt biking rides in New York. Several of the better dirt bike trails are nearby North Chemung including Rocky Roost and Vestal Offroad Trails.
