East of Spray in the Umatilla National Forest, the West End OHV Area (aka Sunflower OHV Area) has 91,000 acres open to off-road motorcycle trails riding on various old roads.
To reach the Fairview Campground trailhead from Spray, head east on SR19 for 3 miles. Turn left heading north on SR207 for 11 miles. The campground is on the left.
From the campground, the trails are to the east on NFD 24 and NFD 23. The terrain allows for some off-road travel and there are numerous unused or low standard roads. Pay attention to land boundaries as there are areas of private land within the riding area boundary. ATV roads open to standard vehicles must comply with Oregon State vehicle laws. The area is made inaccessible by snow to all but snowmobiles during winter months.
