Wambaw Cycle Trail - South For Dirt Biking
The 2nd most popular offroad motorcycle trail in South Carolina.

Near McClellanville in the Francis Marion National Forest, the Wambaw Cycle Trail system passes through sandy pine forest and consists of two loops totaling 40 miles North Loop and South Loop that are open to dirt biking. Riders can glimpse sinkhole ponds with majestic bald cypress, as well as turkeys and white-tailed deer. The trail is open to mountain bikers and ATVs (up to 50 inches wide).
To reach the trailhead from Charleston, head north on US17 for 28 miles to Steed Creek Road (just before Awendaw (about 10 miles south of McClellanville). Turn left heading west on Steed Creek Road for 5 miles to Halfway Creek Road (SR98S). Turn right heading north on Halfway Creek Road for 6 miles to Round Pond Cycle Trailhead on the left.
Overall, Wambaw Cycle Trail - South is the 2nd most popular dirt bike trail of all 14 dirt biking rides in South Carolina.
