The Hoyt Peak Trail is a 12 mile route open to off-road motorcycle trails riding.
To reach the trailhead from the intersection of HWY 32 and HWY 150 in Kamas, go east on HWY 150 for 2.7 miles. Go left (north) on Wide Hollow Rd (#408) for 1.6 miles until you hit the forest boundary.
Note: Like most National Forests, the trails and road are closed to off-road motorcycle riding unless specifically signed open. Do not count on seeing a closure sign but expect to see an open sign. It is your responsibility to know which trails are open to your type of vehicle. Lately, it has been reported that the rangers in the Wasatch-Cache National Forest have been strictly enforcing closures and issuing Federal citations which require a court apperance and $150 fine.
Overall, Hoyt Peak Riding Trail is the 21st most popular dirt bike trail of all 68 dirt biking rides in Utah. Several of the better dirt bike trails are nearby Hoyt Peak Riding Trail including Cedar Hollow Trail System, Deadhorse OHV Trail, Lily Lake ORV Trail System and Taylor Fork Trail System.
