East of Salt Lake City and south of Mountain View on the state line, the Deadhorse off-road motorcycle trail system has 40+ miles of trails and roads open to off-road motorcycle trails riding.
The primary trailhead is located about 18 miles south of Mountain View, Wyoming. There are several campgrounds throughout the area that provide direct access to the off-road motorcycle trail system.
To get to the riding area take exit 39 off of I-80. Head south on Hwy 414 towards Mountain View. Continue south on Hwy 410 through Mtn View approx. 18 miles. Hwy 410 turns into CR 283 which turns into China Meadows Rd. There is a trailhead on the right by the Warm-up Trail or you can park at the campgrounds.
Note: Like most National Forests, the trails and road are closed to ATV and dirt bike riding unless specifically signed open. Do not count on seeing a closure sign but expect to see an open sign. It is your responsibility to know which trails are open to your type of vehicle. Lately, it has been reported that the rangers in the Wasatch-Cache National Forest have been strictly enforcing closures and issuing Federal citations which require a court apperance and $150 fine.
Overall, Deadhorse ORV Trail is the 6th most popular dirt bike trail of all 26 dirt biking rides in Wyoming.
