Whitney / Gold Hill ORV Area For Dirt Biking

Northeast of Park City and south of Evanston, the Whitney / Gold Hill Area is a network of trails and roads open to dirt bike riding.
To reach the trailhead from Evanston, head south on SR150 for about 30 miles to the Bear River Ranger station. Continue another 5 miles to the intersection with FS081 (aka Gold Hill Road) and look for parking. The routes open to OHV riding are to the west.
To reach the Whitney trailhead from the Evanston Ranger Station, follow highway 150 south for 30 miles. Turn left on Forest Service Road 058 (aka Whitney Road). The parking lot is to the right about 0.1 mile from the turn.
Note: As of September 2007, ATV riding on Forest Service Roads is limited to designated roads. To obtain the latest map of designated roads, make sure to contact the Forest Service HQ at (801) 466-6411.
