South of Elko and Jiggs, the School Creek / Sherman Creek are offers plenty of riding through meadows in ranch country.

To reach the dirt biking trailhead from Elko, head southeast on SR227 towards Spring Creek. Turn south on SR228 towards Jiggs. Past Jiggs, turn west at Bald Mountain Mine turnoff. Continue for 26 miles to the south to School Creek.

Overall, School Creek / Sherman Creek is the 15th most popular dirt bike trail of all 29 dirt biking rides in Nevada. Several of the better dirt bike trails are nearby School Creek / Sherman Creek including Immigrant Trail, Harrison Pass / Corral Creek, Spruce Mountain, Stag Mountain and Jacks Valley.
