Northeast of California City and west of Randsburg, there is a riding area open to dirt biking.

Camp A trailhead area: From the intersection of Randsburg Mojave Rd and California City Blvd, head NE on Randsburg Mojave Rd. Travel 13 miles. Just after the intersection with Bucknell Rd, look for parking on the left.

Overall, California City Riding Area is the 2nd most popular dirt bike trail of all 117 dirt biking rides in California. Several of the better dirt bike trails are nearby California City Riding Area including Rasor OHV Area, Stoddard Valley OHV Area, Mojave Road, El Mirage Dry Lake ORV Area, Johnson Valley ORV Area and Olancha Dunes Riding Area.
