Willie White Trail For Dirt Biking

Near Cloudcroft, the Willie White Trail is a 5.2 mile route open to off-road motorcycle trails riding. This route is very popular, and is lined with aspens and pines.

To reach the east trailhead from Cloudcroft, start at the intersection of US82 and SR130. Head south on SR130 for 1.8 miles. Turn right on SR6563 (Sunspot Highway) for 8.5 miles. Turn left on FR164 (Rio Penasco Road) for 4.5 miles. At the stream crossing, the trailhead is on the right.

Overall, Willie White Trail is the 5th most popular dirt bike trail of all 14 dirt biking rides in New Mexico. Several of the better dirt bike trails are nearby Willie White Trail including Haystack Mountain OHV Recreation Area, Johnson Hill, Mescalero Sands North Dunes OHV Area and Sandia Motocross Park.
