Near Cloudcroft, the Willie White Trail is a 5.2 mile route open to off-road motorcycle trails riding. This route is very popular, and is lined with aspens and pines.

East Trailhead: From the US 82-NM 130 intersection in Cloudcroft

South on NM 130 for 1.8 miles

Right on NM 6563, the Sunspot Highway, go 8.5 miles

Left on FR 164, the Rio Penasco Road, go 4.5 miles

Trailhead is on the right, at a stream crossing.

Overall, Willie White Trail is the 4th most popular dirt bike trail of all 15 dirt biking rides in New Mexico. Several of the better dirt bike trails are nearby Willie White Trail including Haystack Mountain OHV Recreation Area, Johnson Hill, Mescalero Sands North Dunes OHV Area, Sandia Motocross Park and Moriarty Motocross.
