East of Logan, the Shoshone National OHV Trail System consists of over 330 miles of roads and trails open to off-road motorcycle trails riding in northern Utah.
To reach the trailhead from the intersection of US 91 and US 89 in Logan, go east on US 89 for 17.5 miles to Temple Fork Road. The trailhead is here.
Note: Like most National Forests, the trails and road are closed to off-road motorcycle riding unless specifically signed open. Do not count on seeing a closure sign but expect to see an open sign. It is your responsibility to know which trails are open to your type of vehicle. Lately, it has been reported that the rangers in the Wasatch-Cache National Forest have been strictly enforcing closures and issuing Federal citations which require a court apperance and $150 fine.
Overall, Shoshone Trail - East is the 25th most popular dirt bike trail of all 68 dirt biking rides in Utah. Several of the better dirt bike trails are nearby Shoshone Trail - East including Skyline Trail, Public Grove ORV Trail, Hot Springs Raceway and Shoshone Trail - West.
