Largo Lake For Dirt Biking

Northeast of Sante Fe and Taos, the Red River area has numerous trails and roads open to dirt bike riding. The trailhead is located just north of the town of Red River up FS54.

Largo Lake / Canyon - 1.3 miles from Questa Ranger Station on Old Taos HWY. Travel 3 miles on National Forest land to private land; continue for 4 miles through Lama to HWY 22.

Overall, Largo Lake is the 14th most popular dirt bike trail of all 14 dirt biking rides in New Mexico. Several of the better dirt bike trails are nearby Largo Lake including Elephant Rock, 4th Of July Canyon, Cerro Negro, Garrapate Ridge, Goose Lake and Middle Fork.
