Pioneer Loop Trail For Dirt Biking

The 18th most popular offroad motorcycle trail in Montana.

In the Wise River Ranger District, the Pioneer Loop Trail #750 is a 35 mile loop through the Pioneer mountains open to dirt bike riding.

The trail starts 0.25 mile up the Pioneer Loop National Scenic Trail from Lacy Creek Trailhead 90. It is 17.2 miles south of Wise River on Pioneer Mountains Scenic Byway and 3 miles west on Lacy Creek trailhead.

Directions: From Butte, go west on I-90 for 3.5 miles. Go south on I-15 for 18.5 miles. Go west on HWY 43 for 12.2 miles to Wise River. Turn left (south) on Wise River Polaris Rd. and go 17.2 miles. Turn right on FR 1299 and go about 4 miles to the trailhead.

Overall, Pioneer Loop Trail is the 18th most popular dirt bike trail of all 30 dirt biking rides in Montana.
