West of Castle Rock in the Rampart Range area, the Devils Slide Motorized Trail #676 is a 6.4 mile route open to offroad motorcycling. This is a challenging route with two difficult to navigate sections. Starts from the Rampart Range Road Trailhead.
Access from Sedalia:
To reach the Devils Slide Motorized Trail travel approximately ten miles west of Sedalia on Highway 67 to the Rampart Range Road. Turn left (south) on the Rampart Range Road and drive approximately 7 miles to the trailhead and parking area on the eastern side of the road. If you reach Devils Head Picnic Ground youve gone too far south.
Trail # 676, Devil Slide, may be accessed from Rampart Range Road via Cabin Ridge Trail, 675. Rampart Range Road Trailhead provides ample parking. Users should proceed .8 miles on trail 675 to reach 676 on the left side of the trail. The first fork on this trail is 657 and leads to the right. Continue past this fork to reach the beginning of trail 676.
The Devil Slide Trail is 6.4 miles of intermediate to expert-level riding. It is very scenic with 2 difficult sections of trail to negotiate. This route gets a moderate level of use. The trail ends on Noddle Trail, 677, which leads east to Rampart Range Road south of Topaz Point Picnic Ground. Traveling west on route 677 will lead users to Highway 67 east of Oxyoke.
Note: Colorado residents must register their off-highway vehicle with the Colorado State Parks (303) 866-3437. Non-residents are not required to register in Colorado, if they are registered in their home states. All off-highway vehicles must have an approved muffler and spark arrester. These requirements are subject to change so make sure to contact the Colorado State Parks prior to using your off-highway vehicle.
