North of Houghton Lake, the Beaver Creek Trail is a 36 mile route that connects with the West Higgins Trail.

To reach the dirt biking at the West Higgins trailhead from Houghton Lake go north on US 27 for 7 miles. Exit and go west on CR 104. Look for parking 1 mile from US 27.
