West of Fort Collins and northeast of Estes Park, the area surrounding the Buckhorn Work Center has a network of roads and a single track trail open to OHV users.

To reach the dirt biking at the Buckhorn Work Center, head north on SR27 to CR44H (Buckhorn Road). Head west on CR44H to the work center.

Note: Colorado residents must register their off-highway vehicle with the Colorado State Parks (303) 866-3437. Non-residents are not required to register in Colorado, if they are registered in their home states. All off-highway vehicles must have an approved muffler and spark arrester. These requirements are subject to change so make sure to contact the Colorado State Parks prior to using your off-highway vehicle.

Overall, Buckhorn is the 27th most popular dirt bike trail of all 90 dirt biking rides in Colorado. Several of the better dirt bike trails are nearby Buckhorn including Main Draw ORV Area, Red Feather Lakes ORV, Four Corners / Roach Road, Two Rivers Motocross Track and Green Ridge.
