In the Wise River Ranger District, the Gold Creek - Sheep Creek Trail #140 is a 9.3 mile route open to offroad motorcycle riding.

To reach the Gold Creek Trailhead from Butte, go west on I-90 for 3.5 miles. Go south on I-15 for 18.5 miles. Go west on HWY 43 for 12.2 miles to Wise River. Turn left (south) on Wise River Polaris Rd. and go 15.4 miles. Look for the trailhead on the left.
