Sovereign Trail Dirt Biking

North of Moab, the Sovereign Trail System is a relatively new trail system that is open to dirt biking. There are two concentric routes in this area. First, the inner loop is a narrow singletrack suitable for experience dirt bikers. Second, the outer loop follows wider old rugged jeep roads that are mainly used for beginner dirt bikers and ATV riders.

There are two main trailhead access points: Willow Springs Road and Dalton Well Road.

To reach the Willow Springs Road trailhead for the Sovereign Trails, head north on US191 for 12 miles. Turn right on 4WD Willow Springs Road for 2.5 miles to the trailhead parking area.

To reach the Dalton Well Road trailhead from Moab, head north on US191 for 13 miles. Turn right heading east on Dalton Well Road for 1.5 miles to the signed trailhead. If you pass through the gate and it is closed first, make sure to close it after you pass.
