Peach Valley ORV Area For Dirt Biking
The 72nd most popular offroad motorcycle trail in Colorado.

Northeast of Montrose and east of Olathe, the Peach Valley Open Area has 100 miles roads and trails open to off-road motorcycle trails riding over 15,600 acres in the Gunnison Gorge National Conservation Area.
To reach the Peach Valley OHV Area from Montrose, head north on US50 to Olathe. Turn east on Falcon Road for 4.5 miles to the Peach Valley OHV Area.
An alternate route to Peach Valley OHV Area is from Delta. Head east on SR92 for 10 miles. Near Austin, turn south on Peach Valley Road to the OHV area.
Black Ridge/Red Rocks Nighthorse Trail Loop (~11 miles) is for advanced riders who like steep hills and rocky terrain.This trail has large ledge step-ups and stepoffs. It is challenging and provides riders with scenic views. It travels along the rim of the Gunnison Gorge from Chukar Road to Bobcat Road. It can be ridden out and back or it can be looped with Peach Valley Road.
Eagle Valley/Sunset Rocks/Moonlight Mesa Trails (~7 miles) are very challenging single track trails for advanced riders only.These trails include tight canyon walls, steep hills and rocky terrain.Access starts at the Peach Valley Recreation Area. Follow the signs to Eagle Valley Trail. Eagle Valley travels through a small canyon.After you climb out of the canyon, turn right and head south on Sunset Rocks Trail. Before you get to Chukar Road follow the signs to Moonlight Mesa Trail and head back to the staging area.
Wave/Eagle Loop (~7 miles) is an intermediate ride on 4WD roads. It is very popular with local ATV riders and 4WD vehicles.This loop includes moderate hills with very rocky terrain.Access starts off Peach Valley Road.The trail is easier if traveled counterclockwise starting on Wave road.
Note: Colorado residents must register their off-highway vehicle with the Colorado State Parks (303) 866-3437. Non-residents are not required to register in Colorado, if they are registered in their home states. All off-highway vehicles must have an approved muffler and spark arrester. These requirements are subject to change so make sure to contact the Colorado State Parks prior to using your off-highway vehicle.
