North of Vancouver near Squamish and north of Brackendale, the Starvation Lake area has nice dirt bike riding.

The trailhead is located north of Brackendale across the road from the old roadhouse. There is not really a great place to park at this access point. The trail starts by paralleling the highway and then turns into the forest. After a short climb, there is a vista over Starvation Lake. The route down is rocky and challenging. There is a trail around the lake and there is another heading north to Cheakamus Canyon along an old washed out road.

Overall, Starvation Lake / Cheakamus Canyon is the 6th most popular dirt bike trail of all 36 dirt biking rides in British Columbia. Several of the better dirt bike trails are nearby Starvation Lake / Cheakamus Canyon including Mamquam FSR, Lava Flow Riding Area and Brohm Ridge / Cat Lake Riding Area.
