Near Gormanston, the Gormanston Track has a motocross track open to dirt bike riding. The Gormanston Track is maintained by the North Dublin Motorcycle Club. The track has a hardpacked, gravel surface that is pretty fast. There is also a smaller track for beginners.
Directions to the Motocross track at Gormanston:
Take N1 north out of town crossing the Delvin river (see below) until you come to the Huntsman Pub on the left. Turn right immediately at the large statue of a horse in the car park of the Huntsman. Follow the small road down to the beach, the tracks are on the left and right at the end of the road. The main track is on the right.
Leave the town southbound on the N1 past Scotch Hall shopping centre. Pass through Julianstown and continue past the Apple Green petrol station on the LEFT hand side of the road. Take the slip road just past the station and go up towards the overpass. Continue straight on to the Cock Tavern pub on the left and take the SECOND left turnoff towards the sea. There is a statue of a horse across the road directly opposite the left turn. Go to the end of this road and the tracks are at the end of this road on both sides. The main track is on the right.
