Fishers Track For Dirt Biking

The 7th most popular offroad motorcycle trail in New Zealand.

South west of Taupo an northwest of National Park village, the Fishers Track is a 21km route with a 17km downhill section descending about 500m. Watch out for the grass on some of the fast corners or you will go down! The route starts in the northwest corner of National Park village and ends at the War Memorial.

To reach the trailhead from National Park village at the intersection of SH4 and SH47, head north on SH4 for a couple hundred meters to Carroll Street. Turn left heading west down Carroll Street which turns into Fisher Road. The Fishers Track begins on the right (north side) of Fisher Road just past Pehi Road.

Overall, Fishers Track is the 7th most popular dirt bike trail of all 41 dirt biking rides in New Zealand.
