Spanning the Surrounds and Bairnsdale State Forests, the Mt Taylor Trail Bike Area has numerous kilometers of routes for offroad motor biking. The trail biking network consists of forest roads and tracks. There are three main tracks: Nicholson River Track (76km), Merrijig Track (80km), and Destination Dargo (91km).
The Mt Taylor Trail Bike Area is located north of Bairnsdale about 15km on Bullumwaal Road.
To reach the Mt Taylor Trail Bike Area from Melbourne, follow Princes Highway east for 275km. To access the Mount Taylor Trail Bike Visitor Area from Bairnsdale, follow the signs to Wy Yung, and then travel north along the Bullumwaal Road for approximately 10km. At the point where the bitumen turns to gravel, the Trail Bike Visitor Area can be accessed via the gravel road on your left hand side (Lookout Road). The visitor area is located another 300m
further up this road (past the picnic area).
