Southwest of Kansasville in Kenosha County, the 4,500 acre Richard Bong State Recreation Area has 10 miles of trails for off-road motorcycle riding on gently rolling terrain. There are many sharp turns and an optional water course. The trail is a series of three one-way loops.
West of Monroe, the Cheese Country Trail is a 47 mile dirt biking route along old railgrade from Mineral Point thru Darlington to Monroe. This flat trail traversed farmland and wooded ridges.
South of Wisconsin Rapids and southeast of Rome, the Dyracuse Mound Recreation Area has 2 routes totaling 8 miles over 250 acres. Dyracuse is operated by the Town of Rome in cooperation with Rapid Angles Motorcycle Club.
East of Black River Falls in Jackson County, the 67,000 acre Black River State Forest and Jackson County Forest has 98 miles of off-road motorcycle trails through pine and oak forests. Note, all trails are two-way. The Forest lies on the edge of the glaciated central plain east of the rough coulee region or driftless area of Wisconsin.
From Ashland to Superior, the 62 mile Tri-Co Recreation Corridor is a old railroad grade passing through the counties of Ashland, Bayfield and Douglas. This two-way route is on loose-packed aggregate.
East of Park Falls in Price County, the Flambeau off-road motorcycle trail system has 60 miles of signed routes on rolling terrain. The trail system is highlighted by rolling terrain, tree lined corridors, wooden bridges, and vistas overlooking bogs and lakes. Along the trail there are several points of interest including the Smith Rapids Covered Bridge, Round Lake Logging Dam, and Camp Nine Springs.
In Douglas County, a 47 mile stretch of the Wild Rivers State Trail runs from Superior south to Wascott. The main trailhead is located south of Superior near the intersection of county highways C and A. The trail passes through deep sections of the Douglas County Forest.
East of St Paul near Arkansaw, the Arkansaw Cycle Park has a motocross track with a sandy, loamy clay surface. There is a 70 foot table top, a triple, and a double. Also, there is a peewee track.
Between Port Wing and Iron River, the Battle Axe ATV Trail is a 19 mile dirt biking route along an old railroad grade. The trail is sandy and passes through woodlands. This breathtaking route passes through hardwood stands. It connects with the Lenawee Trail and the Tri-County Corridor Trail. The trailheads are in both Port Wing and Iron River.
Northeast of Eau Claire near Wheeler, the Wheeler Motocross Park has several tracks including a motocross track and a peewee track. The 1.6 mile motocross track is national-style and is 30 feet wide.
