Close to popular Cape Region gateway city of La Paz in the Sierra De Juarez National Park, the Canon San Bernardo is an easy 14 mile trek crossing the Sierras with a 2,300 feet vertical. The hiking route runs east-west from Boca de la Sierra to Santo Domingo.

Note: Prior to 1997, the topographic maps developed by the federal government used the NAD27 CONUS datum. Starting in 1998, the government transitioned to the ITRF92 datum (some maps show both datum), which is pretty much identical to the WGS84 datum.

Overall, Canon San Bernardo is the 7th most popular hiking trail of all 11 hikes in Mexico.
