Hiking The Colorado Trail - Searle / Kokomo Pass

The 7th most popular hiking trail in Colorado.

Southwest of Dillion, a challenging section of the Colorado Trail climbs two scenic alpine passes to 12,300 feet over a 18 mile out & back route. To reach the trailhead from Dillion, follow US70 west to Exit 195. Turn right at Copper Road and follow through resort. Turn right onto Beeler Place and park in lots. Start hiking on paved path near the stables. Follow it up West Ten Mile Creek for 1 mile. Turn left crossing bridge at CT sign. Start climbing to above the timberline into alpine tundra. Return by the same route.
