Northeast of Lincoln, circling the 45,000 acre wilderness area is the 45 mile Pemigewasset Wilderness Loop climbs over ten peaks above 4,000 feet through bear and moose habitat. Brace yourself for the scramble up the 4,700 Mount Carrigan, and for endless cascading brooks and quiet woodlands. By the way, there are several shorter loops that can be formed. Make sure to camp at 13 Falls and stop at the Galehead Hut.

To reach the hiking trailhead from US93, use Exit 32 in Lincoln. Head east on SR112 for 5 miles to the Lincoln Woods trailhead on the left.

Overall, Pemigewasset Wilderness Loop is the 5th most popular hiking trail of all 17 hikes in New Hampshire.
