Hiking The Monitor Ridge Trail

The 7th most popular hiking trail in Washington.

The 10 mile round-trip hike on the Monitor Ridge Trails is a strenuous but non-technical ascent to the sawtoothed rim overlooking the crater and growing lava dome. Be prepared for the 4,600 feet vertical climb through some loose ash.
