Hiking The Halla-san National Park

The 3rd most popular hiking trail in Korea.

On Cheju Island, the Halla-san National Park has 5 clearly blazed hiking routes to the Paengnoktam crater at 1950m. Located in the center of the island, Halla Mountain represents Cheju-do. Although the mountain can be seen from all points on the island, the peak is often hidden by clouds. Paengnoktam is the name of the lake that has formed inside the crater at the peak. Five different trails trails of varying lengths and difficulty lead to the peak (Yeongshil, Tonnaeko, Seongpanak, Orimok, Kwanumsa)

Overall, Halla-san National Park is the 3rd most popular hiking trail of all 7 hikes in Korea.
