Hiking The Trail Of Ten Falls / Silver Creek Canyon Trail

The 2nd most popular hiking trail in Oregon.

South of Portland and east of Salem in Silver Falls State Park, the Trail Of Ten Falls (aka Silver Creek Canyon Trail) is a 14 mile round-trip hike into a deep, shadowy gorge through adler, oak and douglas fir groves. There are 10 major waterfalls with the largest being the 177 South Falls.

To reach the trailhead from Salem, head east on SR22 for 7 miles. Turn east on SR214 for 20 miles into the park. Use the North Falls parking lot. The trail starts at the southwest end of the parking lot.

Overall, Trail Of Ten Falls / Silver Creek Canyon Trail is the 2nd most popular hiking trail of all 21 hikes in Oregon.
