West of Port Angeles, the 13 mile Mount Muller Trail #882 is a new trail constructed in the 1990's for hiking. The route passes through second generation forest and at the summit offers vistas of Mount Olympus, the strait and Vancouver Island.

To reach the trailhead from Port Angeles, follow US101 west. About 5 miles past Lake Crescent, turn north on FS3071 to trailhead parking. The trail consists of a loop plus several side trails. The total vertical from trailhead to summit is 2700.

Overall, Mount Muller Trail is the 18th most popular hiking trail of all 56 hikes in Washington.
