Hiking The Feldtmann Ridge / Greenstone Ridge Loop

In northwestern Lake Superior, a scenic 30 mile loop combines Feldtmann Ridge Trail and Greenstone Ridge Trail and is best known for wildlife viewing including river otters moose and wolves. Start by taking the ferry to Windigo. The 3 day loop is best done counterclockwise. On Day One, trek from Windigo to Feldtmann Lake Campground. On Day Two, hike from Feldtmann to Siskiwit Bay Campground. On Day Three, go from Siskiwit back to Windigo.

Back in Windigo, if you have extra energy before the ferry back, try the 6.5 mile Hugimin Cove Loop.
