Northwest of Birmingham and south of Stafford, the Cannock Chase Forest has a maze of tracks and trails rolling through lush pine forest. The hiking trailhead is at the Brindley Heath Forest Visitors Centre located 3 miles east of Junction 12 of M6. From the car park, a 36 km figure-eight loop can be formed by combining routes down to Cannock Wood in the south to Haywood Park in the north (see OS map).

Overall, Cannock Chase Forest is the 7th most popular hiking trail of all 16 hikes in UK.
