Near Brisbane, the Toohey Forest has dozens of red dirt tracks through Green Gum Tree forests ideal for hiking.
Stretching from Mt Gravatt in the east to Toohey Mountain in the west, Toohey Forest provides a green backdrop to many of the citys suburbs and is commonly described as an island in suburbia.
It is one of the few remaining large bushland areas within the Brisbane metropolitan region.
Overall, Death Stare Trail is the 12th most popular hiking trail of all 16 hikes in Australia.
