Hiking The East Loop Trail

North of West Palm Beach, the 11,500 acre Jonathan Dickinson State Park has 14 miles of hiking trails through slash pine, scrub oak and palmetto. Watch for gopher tortoise, deer, armadillo, wild pigs and alligator. The 9.4 mile East Loop is a scenic trail.

To reach the hiking trailhead from West Palm Beach, head north on US95 to Exit 59. Follow Indiantown Road (SR706) east for about 4 miles. Turn north (left) on US1 for 7 miles and park on left.

Overall, East Loop Trail is the 3rd most popular hiking trail of all 43 hikes in Florida.
