In Grand Canyon National Park, the Bright Angle Trail is the classic main hiking route down into the Grand Canyon starting near the El Tovar lodge. It is a 5500 feet descent to the Colorado River.

Overall, Bright Angel Trail is the 17th most popular hiking trail of all 49 hikes in Arizona. Several of the better hiking trails are nearby Bright Angel Trail including South and North Kaibab Trails, Grandview Trail and Havasu Falls.
