Hiking The West Fork Trail

The 10th most popular hiking trail in Arizona.

Northeast of Sedona in Oak Creek Canyon, the West Fork Trail (#108) is an 3 mile one-way hike up the West Fork of Oak Creek. From the trailhead, the trail runs northwest into the narrow canyon through lush vegetation with several creek crossings.

To reach the trailhead from Sedona, head northeast up SR89A to milepost 384.5. The large parking area can get very crowded mid-day. Make sure to go early or late in the day (the gated lot does close early).

Overall, West Fork Trail is the 10th most popular hiking trail of all 49 hikes in Arizona.
