Hiking The Palo Duro Canyon State Park

The 13th most popular hiking trail in Texas.

South of Amarillo and east of Canyon, the 16,000 acre Palo Duro Canyon State Park has 20 miles of rolling trails with great views of red rock canyons. To reach the hiking trailhead from Amarillo, head south on US27 to Canyon. Proceed east on SR217 for 8 miles into the park.

Overall, Palo Duro Canyon State Park is the 13th most popular hiking trail of all 32 hikes in Texas.
