The Cumberland Trail extends 283 miles from Chattanooga in the southwest up to Cumberland Gap in the northeast. It offers hikers a chance to explore Tennessees beauty along the Cumberland Plateau.

Presently, there are 110 miles of designated trails.

The Cumberland Trail Conference maintains and develops the route.

Overall, Cumberland Trail State Park is the 13th most popular hiking trail of all 24 hikes in Tennessee.
