North of Asheville and Hot Springs in the Pisgah National Forest, the 7.6 mile Golden Ridge Trail is a beautiful hiking loop on Rich Mountain with nice vistas.

Overall, Golden Ridge Trail is the 9th most popular hiking trail of all 19 hikes in North Carolina. Several of the better hiking trails are nearby Golden Ridge Trail including Noland Divide Trail and Buncombe Range Trail.
