Northeast of Baguio in the Cordillera Mountains on the island of Luzon, the 11,500 hectare Mt Pulag National Park has assume hiking trails through pine forest, mossy forest and summit grasslands. The National Park cover four provinces: Nueva, Vizcaya, Ifugao and Benjuet. It is home to 4 native tribes, and Mt. Pulag is the second highest peak at 2,929 meters. Watch for drawf bamboo and the worlds largest rat.
The Grassland Trail runs through pine forest up to grassland summit starting from near Sitio Babadak, Bashoy.
The Akiki and Lusod Trails are 25km challenges with steep climbs to summits through old-growth forest. Start near village of Lusod.
